Beijing Public Transport to Buy 2,530 Units City Buses in 2020

Recently, it was revealed that Beijing Public Transport Group Co , Ltd (hereafter referred to as Beijing Public Transport) is to purchase 2,530 units city buses in seven batches in 2020 with a total value of 3 501 billion RMB
Recently, it was revealed that Beijing Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as Beijing Public Transport) is to purchase 2,530 units city buses in seven batches in 2020 with a total value of 3.501 billion RMB. Beijing Yinlong New Energy Co., Ltd., BAIC Foton Automobile Co., Ltd. and Zhongtong Bus Co., Ltd. are the three successful bidders to secure the deal with Beijing Public Transport. 
 
Statistics show that 146 city bus orders in 2019 surpassed the one million threshold each in value with the combined value reaching 7.054 billion RMB. 134 city bus orders were purchases of buses powered by new energy. 
 
According to Chinese government’s Environmental Protection Initiative, all vehicles serving public transport in all major cities across China will be powered by new energy by the end of 2020. 
 
On February 26, 20 units fuel cell buses were put into service in Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong province. Later this year, the district will introduce a total number of 187 units such vehicles to its public transport networks.
 
In Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, the total number of fuel cell buses in operation has already reached 174 units.
