On June 7, Foton AUV’s new BJ6111 school bus models officially went off the assembly lines in the bus maker’s production base in Guangdong. On the same day, the first Children’s Drawing Competition sponsored by Foton AUV was officially launched.
Under the witness of nearly 100 distinguished guests, Foton AUV signed a sales contract with Dongguan Shun’an Passenger Transportation Co., Ltd. According to the contract, Foton AUV will provide the new school buses to the bus operator.
Measuring 10.7 meters in length, BJ6111 school bus fully meets China’s National VI Emission Standards. In addition, it achieves high reliability, high energy efficiency and high safety standards. Equipped with Weichai engine and WLY transmission gearbox, the school bus is able to load 56 students at most.
With a more resilient body structure, Foton AUV’s new school bus has also successfully lowered its weight by 300-600 kg and thus is able to cut its fuel consumption by 5%-7%.
Thanks to its state-of-art vehicle management system, bus operators can monitor the operations of Foton AUV’s new school bus in real time. They can also choose to mount a facial recognition system on board. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a lane-deviation alarming system and a front collision alarming system.
To ensure safe travel of all school children, Foton AUV has developed effective solutions, such as adopting an ultraviolet sanitizing system, a super air-filtering system, an abnormal body-temperature alarming system and more environmentally friendly interior materials.
