Recently, 24 units Foton AUV gas-electricity hybrid city buses BJ6105 with National VI Emission Standards were officially handed over to Lhasa Public Transport for operation. These vehicles are set to upgrading the local public transport network and providing greener and more convenient transportation services for passengers.
With a fast growing number of tourists and the government’s call for greener public transport, Lhasa has already made several purchases from Foton AUV. The city introduced two units Foton AUV city buses in 2014, 35 units Foton AUV gas-electricity hybrid city buses in 2015, 68 units Foton AUV new energy city buses in 2018, and 50 units BJ6123 new energy city buses in 2019.
Currently, Lhasa Public Transport boasts 494 units city buses, including 184 units new energy city buses. It runs 36 bus routes and provides transportation services to 230,000 passengers each day.
