Soon, they will all be put into service, signifying a huge step forward for the capital’s drive to replace all fossil fuel powered vehicles in its public transport network.

In recent years, Beijing has been making relentless efforts to reduce pollutants and improve the air quality in the urban areas. In response, Beijing Public Transport Group has been actively involved in promoting intelligent and environmentally-friendly public transportation. It aims to build the world’s best public transportation network. To achieve that ambitious goal, it has long been introducing new energy buses and coaches.

Despite the disruptions caused by COVID-19, BAIC Foton sold 439,146 units vehicles from January to August this year, up by 26.5% year on year. In the past fifteen years, it has been working closely with Beijing Public Transport Group, providing the bus operator with a wide spectrum of bus products. Currently, they are committed to helping the capital city build a more intelligent and environmentally friendly public transportation network.
