As one of the leading players in China’s bus industry, Foton AUV has been actively promoting green public transportation. It has so far put 2,120 units new energy buses on the road in Beijing and helped Lhasa replace all its fossil fuel powered buses. In Guangzhou, 81 units Foton AUV double-source trolley buses have been working smoothly.

Boasting a wide spectrum of new energy buses, including electric ones, hybrid ones, and fuel cell ones, Foton AUV is rolling out more customized green transportation solutions to suit the varied needs in different cities. In preparing for 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, it has been working closely with Zhangjiakou to build China’s first hydrogen energy demostration area.

Along with China’s fast economic expansion, the country has been making an all-out effort to promote green energy and combat environmental pollutions. Against such a backdrop, the percentage of electric buses in China has jumped to 60% this year from just 20% in 2015.

According to Zhao Yingmin, vice minister of China’s Ministry of Ecology & Environment, structural adjustments are to be made in energy and transportation sectors, etc. to further cut carbon emissions.
