According to the latest statistics released by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), China exported 41,100 units buses & coaches in 2020, down by 34.45% year on year.

Table 5 below shows the top ten destinations of China’s bus & coach exports in 2020. The combined sales volume of buses & coaches in the top ten destinations accounted for 69.15% of China’s total export volume in 2020. In 2019, the percentage figure stood at 52.92%.

Major bus makers in China delivered impressive performances in terms of their exports despite a host of challenges and difficulties in 2020.
King Long ranked the first place among all bus players with a total export volume of 8,554 units buses & coaches in 2020. It delivered 436 units intelligent anti-epidemic vehicles to 19 countries and regions across the globe. In April, 213 units King Long luxury coaches embarked on their journey to Saudi Arabia. In May, 200 units King Long city buses were delivered to Cyprus. In July, 449 units King Long school buses were exported to Saudi Arabia.
In April, Golden Dragon exported 1,000 units light buses to Egypt. In October, it secured another order of 2,000 units light buses from Egypt.
Higer obtained an order of nearly 200 units buses from Russia in January and 1,815 units buses from Qatar in December.
Zhongtong secured an order of nearly 1,800 units luxury coaches from its overseas customers in earlier 2020 and delivered 80 units buses to Mexico and 200 units buses to Philippines in latter half of the year.
BYD buses made their way to Germany, USA, Japan and other developed countries in 2020.
