Recently, Foton AUV successfully secured an order of 40 units BJ6123 fuel cell buses from Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province.
Measuring 12-meter in length, Foton AUV BJ6123 fuel cell bus is chiefly designed for the major bus routes in large- and medium-sized cities. With a refill of hydrogen in just 15-20 minutes, the bus is able to drive over 400 km continuously. With a much higher energy efficiency and more impressive power performances, the vehicle achieves higher maneuverability and works smoothly in extremely harsh weather conditions.
As the co-host city of 2022 Winter Olympic Games, Zhangjiakou has been actively promoting the development of hydrogen related industry and the commercialization of fuel cell vehicles.
In response to the central government’s call for more concerted development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, Foton AUV has built its fuel cell bus production base in Zhangjiakou. So far, it has put several batches of fuel cell buses into operation in the city, greatly boosting the fast and sound development of the industry.
In 2015, Foton AUV helped Zhangjiakou build green public transport demonstration project by working closely with Tongtai Transportation Group and Zhangjiakou Jingxi Public Transport Corporation. In 2018, 49 units Foton AUV BJ6105 fuel cell buses were handed over to Zhangjiakou Public Transport Group for operation. In 2019, Foton AUV BJ6123 fuel cell buses started operation on K1, K2 and K3. All these buses have been working smoothly so far in the city, further witnessing deepening cooperation between Foton and Zhangjiakou.
