Recently, BYD Hangzhou officially rolled out 30 units electric buses for their customer in Indonesia. After their arrival in Indonesia, they will be immediately put into operation on the ring bus route in Jakarta, the capital city of the country, celebrating the 494th founding anniversary of the city.
Measuring 12-meter in length, BYD B12 electric bus is able to load 33 passengers and drive 350 continuously.
“We are very excited to see our electric buses in operation in more countries and regions, providing truly eco-friendly transportation services for more and more passengers”, said Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Sales Department.
Indonesia has been actively involved in promoting the development of bio-fuels, lithium batteries and electric vehicles, aiming to peak its carbon emissions by 2030. In 2019, Blue Bird started cooperation with BYD and introduced the first batch of electric taxis e6 to the country. It also announced its plan to purchase 200 units BYD T3 electric vehicles. In February this year, BYD delivered 53 units electric forklift trucks to PT Chandra Asri in Indonesia.
