On April, 20, 2021, China’s First 5G Autonomous Driving Bus Route Operation Report was officially released. According to the report, China’s autonomous driving bus route will reach 300 km in length by 2022, ranking the first place in the world. Suzhou, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Haikou and Tianjin will be the first batch of cities in China to build autonomous driving bus routes.
As one of the pioneers in the autonomous driving bus market, Ankai has already made a number of technological breakthroughs in the internet of vehicles.
As early as 2017, Ankai autonomous driving buses started trial operation in Shenzhen. Since then, the bus maker has been constantly upgrading the hardware and software as well the overall intelligence and safety standards of its autonomous driving buses.
In September, 2020, Anhui opened the first autonomous driving bus trial operation route in the province. Ankai autonomous driving buses have been in smooth operation since then.
In October, 2020, Ankai autonomous driving buses started trial operation in Macau University, ushering a brand new era for Macau.
In April, 2021, Ankai autonomous driving bus attended 2021 China (Anhui) Technological Innovations Commercialization Fair, attracting keen interest among visitors.
So far, Ankai autonomous driving buses have already been put into service in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Tianjin, Hefei, Macau and Zhangjiajie. Moreover, they have already made their way to Japan. Currently, the bus maker is actively involved in promoting the commercial operation of autonomous driving buses.
Equipped with laser radars, millimeter wave radars, cameras, GPS antennas, Ankai autonomous driving bus is capable of performing a number of complex driving tasks on the road, such as starting, slowing down or making a full stop in response to the traffic lights, avoiding other vehicles on the road and changing lanes automatically.
