News from the city of Jinan report that the launching ceremony of green buses was held on September 28, 2009, Shandong province, northern part of China. All of these green buses are made by Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd (Zhongtong for short as below).

Zhongtong says the emission standard of these buses reaches Euro IV and each vehicle’s value is about 1.1 million Yuan. The buses are equipped with air-conditioner and the engine type belongs to diesel. The total length of the bus is 12 meters and appearance is similar with the normal bus. New-energy buses can save more than 30% fuel consumption comparing the old style.
Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd., as an excellent example of Chinese bus enterprise, is a joint-stock company with the production specialized in large buses about 40 years. In addition, it is one of earliest companies enlisted in China. The company has established world-advanced integrated Dutch BOVA production lines for bus engineering technology, with annual output of 10000 H&M-class luxury buses.
