A public bus motorcade made up of 600 Huanghai natural gas bus decorated in red started to serve for the citizen in Shijiazhuang on the morning of Sept. 21st, 2009. It’s said that this is the biggest order delivered in domestic public bus market since 2009. This has also been the biggest batch of natural gas bus delivered to Shijiazhuang by Huanghai Buses since 300 same buses delivered to Shijiazhuang in 2008, setting records of batches public transportation brought into operation. Zhang Yusuo, General Manager of Shijiazhuang Public Transport Co., Ltd, Yu Xinquan, Chief Economist of Shijiazhuang Public Transport Co., Ltd and Lin Chongfu, Planning Director of Huanghai Buses attended the launching ceremony.
600 Huanghai Natural Gas Buses Line Neatly
In 2009, Shijiazhuang public transport invested 337 million RMB (nearly 50 million USD) to purchase natural gas buses to make a green city and harmonious transportation so as to achieve their promise of “Shijiazhuang will forward in three years, so as the public transport”. Huanghai Buses, as the flagship enterprise of city buses in China, especially as the “top brand” in the large and medium-sized natural gas buses, is preferred by Shijiazhuang public transport and they secured two orders of natural gas buses successively with 600 buses together.
As told by the chief economist of Shijiazhuang Public Transport Co., Ltd, they purchased 600 Huanghai natural gas buses after they decided the purchase plan.

Huanghai Buses has developed natural gas buses of 10, 11, 12, 13.7, 16 and 18-meter, and they will strengthen R&D of medium-sized natural gas buses, namely 7-10-meter so as to form comparatively perfect natural gas buses series.

It is reported that the average price of the 600 buses is around 600,000 RMB (about 88,000USD), and there are three vehicle types, that is, apart from the 12-meter DD6129S58, there are the longest domestic single natural gas bus, the 13.7-meter DD6141S05 and 16-meter articulated vehicles. In terms of technology, these vehicles are adopted automatic transmission, disk brake, air suspension, and Woodward 2.0 fuel gas electric control system, adding the CAN bussing technique which digitalizes the electrical equipment control, and all these techniques facilitate driving.
