As learned from Shangqiu public transport company on September 22nd, 2009, 100 new environmental friendly Shaolin buses which meet Euro Ⅲ emission standard will be launched in Shangqiu in the following days.
100 new environmental friendly Shaolin buses are ready to run in Shangqiu
It is reported that Shangqiu public transport company has purchased over 300 new buses since Car Free Day was initinated in 2007, and over ten bus lines like line 1,3,8,15,16,23 and 29 have been updated. To improve urban human settlement and facilitate the travel of citizens, they bought another 100 new environmental friendly Shaolin buses which meet Euro Ⅲ emission standard on the Car Free Day. Currently, Shangqiu public transport company has more than 800 vehicles and the total public bus network is as long as 400 kilometers with yearly passenger capacity up to 50,000,000 person (time).
All the vehicles were overhauled before running on the road and any “sick” or disqualified vehicles were forbidden from starting off to ensure the safety of passengers.
