Yunnan "Vitalize Border Areas and Enrich the People nearly Program" health center ambulance coaches departure ceremony was held in Kunming Pharmacological Dependence Research Institute on September 25, 2009. The first patch of 89 Shanghai Huizhong ISTANA light ambulance coaches were delivered to local health centers all over Yunnan Province.
Yunnan and Shanghai established contra-aperture relation in 1996. The program aims at shaking off poverty for minority nationalities in border areas. The public bid includes 439 vehicles, 89 of which were won by Shanghai Huizhong ISTANA.
ISTANA Light Coach
Shanghai Huizhong started to produce ISTANA light coaches from early 2004, and they donated 3 ISTANA light coaches to Shanghai welfare organizations on the day listed in stock market. In the 5 years of development, ISTANA light coaches have formed commercial vehicles, police vehicles, judicial vehicles, high-end logistic vehicles, vehicles for disabled and ambulances, and they have also became designated vehicles for Beijing Olympic and Shanghai World Expo.
In response to “send doctors and medical supplies to rural areas” and to improve medical conditions there, the ISTANA ambulance coaches can meet performance and quality requirements for vehicles in this bidding, and their imported engine and front-drive mode design are also suitable for mountainous traffic conditions in Yunnan province.
