Hengtong new energy buses
On January 9, the news release of 2009 Hengtong series of new energy buses was held in Chongqing. The release of the fuel-electric hybrid power bus, gas-electric hybrid power bus and 7-meter gas bus with low access marked the breaking advancement of Hengtong Bus in the key technology of new energy and fuel conservation& emission reducing buses.
In March, not only 21 highway passenger vehicles and buses were presented but also the representative of SGS, the world-known certification authority attended to issue the ISO/TS16949:2002 quality management certification to Hengtong in the new product launch, which established the steady foundation of the intense market competition of Hengtong Bus.
In 2009, Hengtong is closely connected with the prosperity of Chongqing. In August, Hengtong Bus lead the team of 86 vehicles and motors made in Chongqing to cruise on the Xi"an street on the day when the opening ceremony of "2009 Chongqing Famous Products Exhibition" was held ,which was hosted by the Chongqing municipal government.
On 30 October, Hengtong released the first bus chassis produced on their own. CKZ6126HENV3 was released, which is the first gas-electric hybrid power buses equipped with the total proprietary intellectual property rights in China. It plays an important role in the independent development of Chinese buses and clean energy vehicles, in the meantime, indicates another new step of Hengtong on the development way of independent innovation.
On 18 November, the 70-year anniversary celebration of Hengtong was held in the Hengtong industrial park with the topic "Splendid 70 years and flaming new times", which brought out the highest tide of Hengtong in 2009. Hengtong ranks in the top 8 in the Chinese bus industry with the national No.1 in the production and sales of CNG buses covering 100 medium & large cities and 10 countries, and meanwhile becomes the true CNG Bus expert with the market maintenance of over 30000 units as well as the market share of 60% and the technology experience accumulated in more than 60 years.
