Summarize : It is a good beginning for Higer Bus to create three new energy bus models with the possible annual production of 3000 units by 2015.
It is known from Higer Bus that it will carry on two projects of new energy vehicles since next January.Tsinghua-Higer new energy bus development institute will be founded to specially develop various models with the Mechanical College of Tsinghua. And it will set up the "Higer New Energy Electric Company" as the production base with the Suzhou Chuangyuan Investment Development Group and the Committee of Suzhou Industry Park with the objective of the annual manufacturing capacity as well as industry chain of 3000 units by 2015.
This June, an electric bus and a hybrid power bus developed and manufactured independently by Higer Bus have passed through the national identification of the relevant communications department and were applied to the test application in the city transport in Beijing and Kunming with good performance. Another two hybrid power buses will be delivered in the public transport of Suzhou. It is considered that the proceeding of these two projects means that Suzhou will become one of the production bases of Chinese new energy vehicles in the future.
Aim at new energy bus industry since its foundation with keen insight
The related staff introduced that the productive task of Higer Bus has been fully arranged till the end of next year.
This June, one pure electric bus and a fuel-gas hybrid power bus have both obtained the approval through the series of performance tests on the Beijing Providing Ground and worked in Beijing and Kunming. Recently, two hybrid power vehicles will be used in the test of the Suzhou Public Transport.
The related principal of Higer believed that these two projects were designed to improve the achievements, seize the industry commanding point and explore new space. It includes the broad employment of the development staff, the investment of 2.6 million USD in the purchasing of the new equipments of search & development(S&D), testing and checking of the new energy buses, the building of the S&D group of Higer electric buses to provide technical support, in the meantime, the investment of 2.19 million USD in the establishing of "Tsinghua-Higer new energy bus development institute” and "Higer New Energy Bus Development Center" with Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Dongguan New Energy Technology to master the core technology, which intends to have the annual production capacity of 3000 units by 2015 and creates a new energy auto industry chain through the integration of the Suzhou relevant industry and the current company resources.
Currently, there are 6 projects to be proceeded by Suzhou Higer Bus for the development of the new energy buses.
To develop 12-meter hydrogen fuel cell bus with Tsinghua University and Nanyang Technological University Singapore and with the plan to apply this model in the 20 operation course of the Singapore TRANSIT Transport in next April.
To cooperate with Shanghai Ruihua Group to develop 12-meter touring bus as the sample vehicle on the Shanghai Expo.
To produce thirty 8-meter pure electric buses applied on the touring course in Macau.
To search and develop the 12-meter pure electric city buses with low floor with University of Science & Technology Beijing and Beijing Dianba company as the sample vehicles in Beijing, Shenzhen and Nanchang.
To develop and produce the new 12-meter hybrid power city buses with Guangxi Yuchai with the objective of application in Hangzhou.
To cooperate with Tsinghua University to produce 7-meter touring bus as the sample vehicle for Dongguan municipal government.
