According to the latest data, as of 29 December 2009, the production capacity of Yuchai Engine reaches over 510 thousand units with the year-on-year growth of 40.4% and double leap-forward development has been realized compared with that of last year. (about 360 thousand units)
At the beginning of 2009, the sales orders of Yuchai rapidly increased with the national policy of expanding domestic demand. Yuchai adopted the effective business strategy and seized the good opportunity to get rid of the influence of the financial crisis and realize the new leap-forward development, shown as followed:
First, it makes new record in the monthly production in 2009, for example, 65 thousand units in March, 60 thousand units in April, which are the first continuous two months with the production volume over 60 thousand units. Additionally, the daily production comes to 2482 units.
Secondly, the orders of the Guo-Ill and gas engines dramatically increase with the high market prestige. Guo-Ill engines have got the broad market approvals though the market development and technology innovation with the year-on-year growth of about 1.7 times. Recently, the Yuchai gas engines also were popular with the concept of the new energy. The volume of the gas engines in 2009 is twice than that in 2008.
Thirdly, it wins the overall breakthrough in the key models. 6M、6L and 6A are both the key models and the important representative of the comprehensive competition of Yuchai. The production volume of 6M/6L rises about 60%, far faster than the average growth speed with the step into the golden period of the rapid growth.
