The tenth New Delhi Auto Show is held in New Delhi from Jan 5. to Jan. 11, 2010, and 2,100 exhibitors from thirty-one countries and regions joined the exhibition. And China enterprises have the biggest exhibition booth, about 5,000 square meters, auto parts are mainly exhibited.
Engines are the core parts of automobiles, so their booths are rather prominent. “There are also commercial engine manufacturers in India, but we have our advantages”, said He Meng, engineer of Wuxi Diesel Engine Company overseas Department, “Although this is their first time to come to the exhibition, there was clients from India to seek for cooperation, and FAW has viewed India as their strategic markets long time ago. Market survey has been conducted, and they are looking for further cooperation with India.”
Wang Yuhe, overseas sales manager of Weichai Power, told journalist that compared with Russia, Iran and Vietnam, they are just starting their business in India; as one of the four BRIC countries, market potential in India is huge and it predicts annual sales increase can reach 20%-30%. He said that clients in India are sensitive to price, so Chinese products have advantages there, and Chinese products usually have better quality than local companies.
