The order of 1000 units from Shenzhen government promotes the speeding-up of the BYD Changsha Bus Project and the first electric coaches will launch within this year at the soonest. BYD Changsha project will be built up as a new base of electric coaches, chassis and cars. BYD will step into the manufacturing as well as sales areas of electric coaches with the new development plan in the new energy buses industry.

Wang Jianjun, the deputy general manager of sales company of BYD Auto indicated that it was an important part in the new energy vehicle development strategy of BYD to purchase Changsha project. BYD would improve the product construction and realize the strategic layout of the company in mid-west market. And then BYD will be the third auto production base after Xi"an and Shenzhen in China.
Electric Coaches to launch within this year at the soonest
Du Guozhong, the Public Relationships Department of BYD Auto showed that the first electric coaches of Changsha new base would be launch within this year at the soonest. The expert believes that it is undoubtedly a good choice for BYD to take the procurement of the government with the mature electric vehicle technology in the commercial vehicle area. Also it is the best option for BYD to refer to the manufacturing of new energy buses in the face of the new energy promotion policies issued by government such as "10 City-1000 Vehicle" as well as the relevant government subsidy.
Currently, it is certain that these new energy buses will be purchased by the enterprises in Shenzhen and the first 1000 buses will be delivered.
