At 4 p.m. 10 February 2010, 10 hybrid power city buses marking "Hunan Longxiang Bus" were applied into the operation of No. 7 bus route after the transfer procedure. It is known that this is the third group of 126 hybrid power buses ordered by this company. The ticket price is 2 Yuan for high class buses and remains 1 Yuan for ordinary buses.
In January 2009, Changsha was chosen as one of the first 13 cities for promotion of the energy-saving and new energy vehicles by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Science and Technology.(Chang Zhutan is referred later)
It is introduced that the new buses all apply fuel-gas hybrid power, diesel engine and motor. The related principal showed that "The fuel-saving ratio of these new buses comes to 10%～15% compared with the ordinary diesel vehicles with the same model. The emission-reducing reaches more than 2 tons within the service life. Also they comply with EuroⅢ emission standard." Currently, there are over 200 new energy city buses owned by Longxiang Bus, including about 180 gas buses, 30 fuel-gas hybrid power buses. The new energy buses take 20% in the total vehicles and they have 122 diesel powered vehicles with Euro Ⅲ emission standard.
