As one if the 170 major programs in Tianjin, a new energy bus program, CHINA SOUTH LOCOMOTIVE Tianjin Industrial Park, will start to construct from April, 2010 with more than 3,000,000,000 yuan (USD) investment to develop city rail transit, new energy large buses, and wind power generation etc new energy industry.
The CHINA SOUTH LOCOMOTIVE Tianjin Industrial Park, located in Beichen District in Tianjin, covers more than 73 hectares. Apart from city rail transit, new energy large buses, and wind power generation, the park will also construct industrial and maintenance center of light rails, hybrid large bus production base, Windenergie industrial park etc. the program will boost development of equipment manufacturing industry and new energy industry.
It’s learned that new energy large buses with internationally advanced power cells will be produced here one after another, and Tianjin subway trains can be produced in Tianjin.
