The first batch of Foton hybrid city buses with the disabled rolling chair equipment run on the road from February 28, 2010; 90 degree escaping windows were adopted for the first time apart from emergency hammer.
The hybrid city buses will run on line 244. Our journalist found that there are two escaping windows on the middle and rear of the bus, each about 0.8 m2, and passengers can escape from the windows when emergency.
The person in charge of the Public Transport Company said that these are air-conditioner buses, and usually knob of the escaping windows are sealed with gummed paper, and passengers may rip off the paper and pull the knob to open the windows.
Ten of the thirty city buses are equipped with second generation city buses line identification system and retractable disabled chairs.
