Deputy to NPC Zuo Yan'an: JAC Commercial Vehicle Business Makes Historic Leap

The 2010 NPC/CPPCC JAC Media Conference was hosted by Zuo Yanan, deputy to NPC and chairman of JAC Group, to state their development and value to nationwide news media on March 8th. During the meeting, Mr. Zuo especially praised commercial vehicles’ foundational role in the development of JAC Group. He said that the historic leap of JAC commercial vehicle support JAC effectively.

JAC Group commercial vehicle business has always been excellent. They developed 7m chassis creatively in 1990, terminating the history of using van chassis to remodel buses. JAC HFC1061 series light lorries were produced in 1995; after put in markets in 1997, their advanced technology and unique marketing met with great success. Currently JAC has the most complete product lines, including economical vehicles as well as middle/high end light trucks. Their buy-back rate has surpassed 40%, and their heavy trucks has annual sales volumes more than ten thousand units.

 

Last year, JAC commercial vehicle created record high regarding scale and benefits. Sales volumes were 198,500 units, 61.7% of total sales volumes, up 32.9% year on year, and the figure is 4.5% higher than average industry level.

 

JAC light truck won “The most favorite commercial vehicle in 2009 China Auto Chart Award”, and it is also the only light truck brand to win a title. Sales volumes of light trucks were 154,000 units, up 42.53% year on year.

 

Benefiting national policies like “vehicle to the countryside” and reduction of consumption tax as well as product structure adjustment, JAC light trucks have formed high end, middle end and economical etc three product series and five brands including Shuailing, Weiling, Junling, Kangling, and Haoyun by effective price strategy and quality. Sales volumes of Shuailing with their own engines has surpassed ten thousand units, promoting JAC light trucks further.

 

JAC made efforts to underlay marketing networks to second and third-line markets, and they also set county supermarkets in top hundred counties to raise their overall marketing ability.

 

Last year Ghalefar heavy truck made great breakthrough on product structure, quality, marketing and sales, and domestic sales volumes were 12,900 units, up 20.17% year on year, and this figure is much higher than the average increase speed of heavy industry, 11%. Product structure of heavy trucks are getting more and more rational, owning market-oriented product series on motor trucks, tractors, dumper lorries, and mixer trucks.

 

JAC BEST chassis filled blank of national high-end chassis in 7m high-end official commercial vehicles; they also made great achievements on new energy and national Ⅳ chassis markets. JAC integrated and upgrade their chassis production platform to produce high-end, economical products and new energy vehicles.

 

JAC will pay much attention on marketing elements management in 2010, and they are getting ready to reach their goal of producing and selling 240,000 units annually.
