“Recently we will start to produce buses, and production capacity will reach around 2,000 units in the first year, and about ten thousand in metaphase, in the future we will own one of the best bus builders in China,” said Ma Chunji, deputy to NPC/CPPCC and chairmen of CNHTC. There were messages one after another about the leading heavy truck makers in China to restart its bus branch. However, this is the first openly speaking of bus manufacturer by CNHTC.
After signing contract with Germany MAN last July in Hong Kong, the cooperation has long been focused. During CNHTC 3010 business conference late last year, their first joint-developed product, Shandeka T7 with MAN engine, made its debut.
As introduced by Mr. Ma, both parts are caring about the program, and both investment and technology are in place, and foreign technicians leaders started working after the Spring Festival. Currently their main task is to carry out the construction plan and ensure the technology. As development of the program, more foreign employees will join the program.
And they have adjusted current layout of production lines and construction of plants. “As current speed, the program could be finished end of this year, and it will start to produce buses next year, and production in batches will begin in 2012.”
