To response of international environmentally friendly trend and central government call of energy-saving and emission reduction, Mudan Motors developed the pure electric bus model, MD6100EV1, with home and abroad leading enterprises, including Tianjin Electric Vehicle Engineering Institute, American ATIEVA Company, Tianjin Lishen Battery Joint-stock Co., Ltd., as well as Jiangsu University Auto College. The bus model can be solely powered with electricity instead of oil.
For pure electric motors, people may worry about quality of battery. “The battery will be full after three-hour charge, and there is electric quantity prompting system. Fifty per cent electricity can be charged within ten minutes with the fast charger, so you don’t worry about breaking down because of electricity,” explained Li Zihao, chairman of Mudan Motors Co., Ltd.
