Mudan Motors scientific research achievements evaluation meeting was held in Tianjin Binhai New District on April 21. The first Mudan commercial pure electric bus passed expert evaluation, and they made fruitful achievements and fruits in China pure electric bus.
Mudan Motors has started to develop commercial pure electric buses with national and international top enterprises and research organizations since late 2008. Electricity can replace fuel to realize zero emission and environmental protection. Experts from China Machinery Industry Federation, Beijing Institute of Technology as well as CATARC highly praised Mudan pure electric bus. It is learned that the bus have some advantages on fuel consumptions and reliability.
The bus can run as much as 270 km after charging three to five hours, its speed is 80 km per hour, and the passenger capacity is 78 persons. Environmental protection and new energy is development trend for auto industry, and Mudan will speed up their pace of pure electric vehicles. Currently Mudan Motors can make batch production and small batch production will start from 2010, and next year, large scale production of pure electric buses will start.
