On 28 April, the launching ceremony of 500 buses was held in Suzhou Public Transport Company. More than 200 staff and related leaders attended it, including Yan Li, the mayor of Suzhou municipal.

formal operation of new Higer buses
It is known that according to Proposal No.1 of Suzhou Municipal People"s Congress, the buses in bad condition will be replaced with environmental & energy-saving buses to implement "Blue Sky" project for the environment improvement in 2010 and also there will be 10 additional bus routes. It is planned that the buses with air-conditioner and Euro Ⅲ will account for over 80% within 3 years.
