Li Haiping, chairman of Zhongtong Bus, said that Zhongtong will speeden their construction of new energy vehicle base on the chance of central government policy on development new energy buses, and they will launch six new energy buses this year, including three hybrid buses and three pure electric buses.
As a pioneer in China green bus maker, Zhongtong has started to produce new energy buses since 2004. Last year, their pure electric and hybrid buses are available in many cities, including eighty green buses won bidding in Jinan Public Transport Group.
It is learned that Shandong provincial government has declared that they will support Zhongtong Bus etc. new energy bus makers to develop research and production of green buses and coaches. After the meeting, Zhongtong bus signed purchase agreement with Jinan Public Transport Company, Shandong Transport Group, Liaocheng Public Transport Company as well as Liaocheng Transport Group.
Their overseas markets are also rather attractive this year. Since breakthrough on overseas markets exports in 2003, the high speed increase in overseas markets have been always their drive force. And they won bidding of 350 city buses order in Moroccan early this year by beating Benz and Volvo etc competitors to enter Africa.
