According to the news release of China Automobile Industry Development on 1 June, it produces 362,000 commercial vehicles, link relative drops 17.93% and year-on-year growth goes up 34.36% ; it sells 308,900 units in May.
Zhao Hang, the director of China Automotive Technology and Research Center showed that the sales of the commercial vehicles in May was smaller than that in April. However, this month was the slack season for commercial vehicles in May, based on the sales conditions over the years. The sales has grown up by a large margin in this May.
In May, the sales volume of semi-trailer towing vehicle is 29,700 units, 155.70% up in year-on-year growth and 140,000 units in total, 305.61% up in y/y growth in Jan.-May.
Truck: 122,900 units, 21.04% down in link relative and 16.99% up in year-on-year growth for production; 111,000 units, 22.67% down in link relative and 32.53% up in year-on-year growth for sales. In Jan.-May, it makes 684,400 trucks with Y/Y growth of 36.34% and sells 561,700 trucks with Y/Y growth of 34.64%.
Bus & Coach: 42,100 units, 6.95% down in link relative and 68.10% up in year-on-year growth for production; 33,300 units, 3.86% down in link relative and 60.09% up in year-on-year growth for sales. In Jan.-May, it makes 177,100 buses with Y/Y growth of 65.33% and sells 157,200 buses with Y/Y growth of 57.18%.
Special Vehicle: 164,000 units, 20.09% down in link relative and 34.25% up in year-on-year growth for production; 134,800 units, 24.85% down in link relative and 40.35% up in year-on-year growth for sales. In Jan.-May, it makes 846,600 special vehicles with Y/Y growth of 41.93% and sells 616,100 special vehicles with Y/Y growth of 51.81%.
In Jan.-May, the accumulated production volume and sales volume of commercial vehicles are 1,864,600 units and 1,475,000 units respectively. It increases 47.92% for production and 54.04% for sales in year-on-year growth.
