China Automotive Technology and Research Center published latest data on June 1, saying that 4,178,000 vehicles were produced in May, up 9.20% over April and up 71.68% over last year, in which 31.42% were vehicles. 17,084,700 vehicles were produced in the first five months, up 42.90% over last year.
1,312,700 vehicles were produced in May, down 14.36% over April, up 22.56% over last May. 1,194,700 whole vehicles were sold out, down 13.95% over April, up 13.95% over last May. 7,178,000 buses and 6,053,300 buses were produced and sold out in the first five months, up 52.18% and 34.07% over last year.
Inventory cycle time is introduced in the statistics for the first time. Inventory cycle time in the first five months were 43 days, 41 days, 48 days, 49days and 52 days, comparatively less over last year. And the figure is normal according to international level between 45 days to 60 days.
In general, auto markets and the segment markets decreased a little compared with last year. Usually production and sales volumes in April are less than that of April. So it is reasonable to see the small fluctuation of production and sales in May.
