The production capacity of new energy vehicles will reach 50,000 units the proportion come to 5% by 2011 and 300,000 units by 2015, according to the "opinions of the promotion of the development of new energy vehicle industry" of Shandong province. Five competitive leading new energy vehicle builders will be cultivated and the production and demonstration base of new energy vehicles be built up there.
In 2010, it makes effort to promote 350 new energy buses in Shandong province in 2010. The new energy special patrol cars will be purchased for the government departments such as transport and police, targeting for 1000 units. In the meantime, 60 million Yuan will be used for the promotion of new energy buses and key auto component providers and foundation of the industrial cluster.
