Analysis of China Buses Markets in the First Half Year

China auto industry developed well in the first half this year, as main products in commercial vehicles, buses market got recovery clearly over last year. according to statistics from ninety-seven bus builders by CAAM, 196,000 buses were sold, up 38.82% over last year. Generally, China bus markets in the first half year have the following characteristics:

 

In the first half year, 196,000 buses were sold, up 38.82% over last year, sales-output radio was 102.05%. And sales of large coaches were 31,800 units, up 71.33%, 32.51% higher than the growth of bus industry, at the same time, 34,100 medium buses and 130,100 light buses were sold, up 20.63% and 37.88% respectively. In terms of fuel properties, 128,600 diesel buses were sold, up 52.17%, sales of petrol buses and buses with other fuels were 34,100 units and 130,100 units, up 20.63% and 37.88%.


   
Sales of six main areas markets increased robustly over 2009, especially in North China, East China and South China. 28,300 buses were sold in North China, up 51.19%; 56,900 buses were sold in East China, up 43.99%, and the figure were 29,800 units, up 37.38% in South China. 12,200 buses were sold in Northwest China, up 31.29%; 16,900 buses were sold in Southwest China, up 31.29%; 15,200 buses were sold in Southwest China, up 17.87%.

 

By usage, all bus models except articulated bus performed well, especially tourist coaches and special buses. 11,300 tourist buses were sold in the first half year, up 88.21%, 2,800 special buses were sold, up 98.32%, 83,900 minibuses were sold, up 33.17%, 27,500 city buses were sold, up 27.98%, 33,900 intercity buses  were sold, up 47.10%, and 32 articulated buses were sold, down 75.76%,


  
And the main bus builders were still taking comparatively high market shares. And the top ten bus builders with biggest output were Brilliance Jinbei, JMC, Zhengzhou Yutong, Nanjing Iveco, Beiqi Foton, King Long, Xiamen Golden dragon, Higer, Shaolin and Zhongtong Bus, and their sales were 41,500 units, up 25.13%,   24,500 units, up 79.20%, 17,000 units, up 49.49%, 16,800 units, up 50.65%, 14,100 units, up 25.10%, 10,700 units, up 101.24%, 9,700 units, up 56.76%, 9,300 units, up 49.23%, 5,300 units, up 7.81%, and 3,900 units, up 47.04%.
