According to the semiannual report of Zhongtong Bus, it has got sales income of 905 million Yuan, year-on-year growth of 81%, profit of 19.45 million Yuan.
In the first half of this year, the sales volume reaches 92,462 units, year-on-year growth of 50% in the bus industry. With benefit from quick recovery of industry, Zhongtong Bus produced 3975 buses (y/y growth of 49%) and sold 3901 ones ((y/y growth of 47%).
Zhongtong Bus strengthens opening level of overseas market agents and customers, promotes the construction of overseas sales and service network and completed the delivery of 154 units to Morocco, establishing brand in North Africa and Europe. In the first half of this year, it has exported 360 units (y/y growth of 213%) with income of 178 million Yuan (y/y growth of 130%).
Zhongtong Bus showed that it would increase the sales of city buses and buses with city & countryside integration, development & promotion of new energy buses, further implement international strategy and strengthen financing of overseas orders. It is known that it has signed new energy and chassis orders with many countries and regions in succession. In the meantime, 6 new energy models will be launched within this year.
It is reported that its project of new energy and energy-saving bus production base has passed through the approval by the related departments in Shandong province government, which refers to the production capacity of 20,000 units and possible will start in two months. The project is related to the investment of 1.138 billion Yuan and the area of more than 60 square meters. It is predicted that 60% of production capacity will be realized by 2012 and full production in 2013. The annual sales income of 9.48 billion Yuan will be obtained after completion of this project in normal condtion.
