Development of new energy buses is vital for low carbon, green and environmental protection. As one of the top ten bus makers, signing ceremony of Changan new energy buses was held on Sept. 10, marking their starting of new energy buses at a high level.

As the only bus branch of CHANA Group, Changan Bus is listed top ten bus manufacturers in China in terms of production and sales volumes. And CHANA Group pays much attentions on new energy vehicles.

Changan new energy buses are under developed with BIT, Yuchai Power etc. BIT has great advantage on pure electric vehicle development and they have developed the first China pure electric bus in mid-1990. And Yuchai Power can provide the latest hybrid system.
Changan Bus has prepared for new energy bus programs for a long time and they have cooperated with Tsinghus University, Jilin University, BIT etc. Changan Bus has founded new energy vehicles research institute and finished monocoque bus development. After nearly one year preparations and construction, Changan second phase expansion has finished, and apart from bigger production capacity, Changan Bus is ready to produce 10-12m city buses.
And Changan bus marketing plan has also been drafted, and initially they will start their test running in Hebei public transport system and gradually to other places in China and international markets.
