Since the order of 350 high-class luxury city buses from the city bus project operated by French VEOLIA in Morocco with the competition over dozens of foreign famous bus builders such as Benz, Volvo, MAN and Scania, Zhongtong Bus has gained many orders for new energy buses and chassis from many countries and regions.
In this August, the company will deliver 30 hybrid power buses to the customers in Singapore; sign the order of 300 electric buses with customers from Taiwan and the one of over 600 chassis from Saudi Arabia, Iran. Based on related data, it possibly obtains the new energy order of more than 800 units in this year.
The orders show the great capability of Zhongtong Bus. The low floor hybrid power buses and electric buses for Olympic Games all present the advanced level of our electric buses. In the meantime, it will launch 6 kinds of new energy buses in succession within this year and the production base of new energy and energy-saving buses will be built up recently. The related staff of Zhongtong Bus revealed that the new energy bus production base referred to the investment of 1.138 billion Yuan, covering the area of over 600 thousand square meters, and annual production capacity of 20,000 units. By 2013, the project will be totally completed with the normal sales income of 9.48 billion Yuan. It is known that the project is under preparation and possibly will start within two months.
