Recently Changan Bus signed agreement with Beijing Institute of Technology to develop new energy buses together.
Changan and BIT has developed the first domestic pure electric bus Yuan Wang Bus to the US. And Changan Bus has exprted two 7m self-developed pure electric buses to Hong Kong.

Changan Bus started to develop monocoque buses since 2009 to improve safety and reduce weights of the bus. Currently the technology can be adopted on new energy buses. In addition, Changan Bus second phase construction has finished to be ready to produce 10-12m coaches.
Changan buses to exported to Syria
BIT started their research and development of electric vehicles since 1990 and they set the first national lab for electric vehicles, and they joined researches on new energy vehicles used on Beijing Olympic Games, Shaihai World Expo and Guangzhou Asian Games.
On the same day Changan bus has signed agreement with Yuchai Power. Yuchai Power takes 60% of domestic engine markets for traditional buses, and their technology on hybrid vehicles are also rather mature. Yuchai Power will provide latest hybrid system for Changan new energy buses.
