On 18 Oct., the celebration of the first 50 Hengtong gas-electric hybrid power new energy buses in actual operation for 100 days was grandly held in Chongqing that is known as the city with the most complex road conditions.

It is introduced by staff from Hengtong Bus that the first 50 hybrid power buses were formally delivered to Chongqing Public Transport Company, which were developed independently by Hengtong Bus on 11 June. These buses experienced various tests including ascending, descending, turning, acceleration, deceleration and air-entrapping in complete roads and obtain high approvals from citizens, drivers and fleet leaders.

The leader from Chongqing Public Transport Company expressed that the performance of these hybrid power buses were mature as well as reliable and quite good through monitoring of actual operation for over 100 days. According to the data, the average fuel efficiency ratio reaches over 25%, energy consumption ratio reduces over 25%, exhaust emission reduces over 30% and average driving noise reaches 3-5dB, compared with conventional buses.
Signing of 100 gas-electric hybrid power buses and 20 electric buses agreement
Luo Bangchu showed to the reporter from that at present, Hengtong new energy buses have formally run in Chongqing for 100 days and passed through the tests: 44 degree high temperature, 2.5 km 10% consecutive ramp, 30% peak overloading and performed well.
On 18 October, Chongqing Public Transport Group announced that it increased cooperation with Hengtong Bus and ordered another 100 gas-electric hybrid power buses and 20 electric buses. And then Hengtong Bus signed batch order of electric buses with the customer from Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. Based on the principal’s introduction, these buses were equipped with inverter duty AC motors, automatic mechanic transmission, high-power storage battery package, battery management system, vehicle management system, electric machine controller, CAN bus system, power-driven steering pump and electric air compressors, also, own the advantages of zero emission, low noise, high energy efficiency and regenerative braking.
