The 2nd Int'l Convention on Rural Roads Starts in Jinan

The 2nd International Convention on Rural Roads, hosted by IRF, China Highway Society,as well as Shandong Communication and Transportation Hall, convened in Jinan on October 27, 2010.

 

Minister of Ministry of Transport, Li Shenglin, sent letter of congratulations, and over 500 representatives from thirty-four countries attended the opening ceremony.

 

China Ministry of Transport and Shandong Province people’s government were awarded “Countryside Road and Social Development Award”during the meeting.

 

This is the first international meeting hosted by China transport agencies, and it is also the first time for IRF to held important meeting in China. The theme is sustainable development of countryside roads and construction of new countryside, aiming to promote development of countryside road construction and development.
