The tenth Annual Meeting of China Urban Public Transport Association of Western Cities was held in October 2010. The transport company principals and bus builders from western cities attended this conference and discussed about speeding-up the implementation of urban public transport as priority, policy support, current operation conditions of transport companies and application of new energy city buses.
Hengtong new energy buses
Hengtong Bus shows seven models: Newman10.5-meter, New Sunshine 7.5-meter, S series 6-meter, 12-meter luxury BRT, fuel-electric hybrid power, gas-electric hybrid power and electric new energy.
As the key production base of new energy buses in China, Hengtong Bus has developed new energy buses since 2007 and formally launched gas-electric hybrid power buses and fuel-electric hybrid power buses with complete intellectual properties in 2009. The first Hengtong new energy buses are applied in this June.
It is known from Hengtong Bus that Hengtong new energy buses apply international leading power system (fuel-saving: more than 24%; energy-consumption: 24%, exhaust-reducing: about 30%) and effectively reduce operation cost. The electric bus can drive more than 200 kilometers in the complex road conditions of cities with power consumption of 85 to 120 kWh for one hundred kilometers with zero emission as well as low noise. With the energy-saving and environment-protection policy, new energy buses will be more and more popular in the market.
