Dongfeng commercial vechiels power train base started yesterday morning. The first phase construction will be invested 2.6 billion yuan till to be finished next March. Currently, Dongfeng commercial vehicles power train, Dongfeng spare parts, economic commercial vehicles, Dongfeng equipment company, Dongfeng equipment manufacturing etc five subsidiaryies have located in Shiyan Industrial Park in Wuhan.
It is told that Dongfeng commercial vehicles power train base will mainly produce high power engines for commercial vehicles and 14-speed transmission. By owning these self-developed brands, Dongfeng commercial vehicle is capable of escaping relying on other spare parts companies. The output will be over 3 billion yuan till 2012. And the production base will be internationally advanced and environmental friendly company.
Currently Dongfeng commercial vehicles power train, Dongfeng spare parts, economic commercial vehicles, Dongfeng equipment company, Dongfeng equipment manufacturing etc five subsidiaryies are covering 4,728,600 m2 with six billion investment in total. With the new production base, Shiyan City will head motor city with million units output soon.
