NEOgás do Perú S.A (NGP) is offering a new system for refuelling urban and interurban buses in Lima and Callao with the launch of Neobus. The new service offers carriers the opportunity to have CNG service stations on their premises. Provided the carrier can meet a minimum fuel consumption level, NEOgas says it will install the system at zero cost to the carrier by assuming all installation and maintenance costs for the first five years.
At the completion of the five-year period, ownership of some of the equipment is transferred to the carrier and, if they wish, they can assume the administration of the facility at a much lower cost, to be operated by their own trained personnel.
Norberto Lassner, Executive Director of Neogas S.A., says the service provides carriers with reliable, prompt provision of fuel, reduces non-operational time through on-site refuelling and reduces the cost to the carrier through the opportunity to negotiate discounts depending on the volume of daily purchases.
Through Neobus, carriers can have access to a system with high flow pumps and the additional required equipment at their own stations or transport terminals, with a refuelling rate of 20 cubic meters per minute of compressed natural gas, at lower temperatures than conventional boosters, and with sufficient gas onsite to refuel the entire fleet.
