Zhongtong new energy city buses have been delivered to Taian, Shandong Province. The formal operation of the first 20 fuel-gas hybrid power city buses means the breakthrough in the promotion of energy-saving and new energy vehicles in the local region. Taian is the third city where many new energy city buses are applied for demonstration after Jinan and Liaocheng in Shandong province.

Obvious Effect of Energy-saving & Emission-reducingThe related staff from Taian Public Transport Company showed that, "The energy-saving of new energy buses is obvious due to the application of fuel-gas hybrid power system, although no big difference from the conventional buses in appearance." Energy recovery and conversion can be realized during the operation.
Also, "The service life of conventional city bus is 10 years and one fuel-gas hybrid power new energy city bus can reduce the emission of over 170-ton carbon dioxide and other noxious articles for 10 years." reflected by the relevant principal from Zhongtong Bus. In the meantime, about 70% of the exhausts can be reduced for new energy bus than the conventional one.
