On December 29, 2010 China Electric Vehicles Industry Awarding Ceremony & China Electric Vehicles Forum was held in Beijing. Themed as “Green and low-carbon”, twenty awards were given to enterprises, products, people and cities. Annual Excellent Electric Vehicle Manufacturer and Annual Technical Innovation Awards were won by Beiqi Foton New Energy Bus Company.

The Electric Vehicles Industry Forum was witnessed by Xu Changming, Director of China Information Center Information Development Department, Fu Yuwu, Standing deputy chairman and secretary of China Auto Engineering Committee, and some other experts and officials on China new energy vehicles industry. Foton Motors deputy secretary of Communist Party and spokesman, Zhao Jingguang, delivered a speech on New Energy Vehicles and Foton’s Strategy on Operation Business, which was highly praised.
Foton AUV winning Aunual Technical Innovation Award
It is learned that Foton AUV is one of the few domestic bus builders mastering mature technologies of manufacturing new energy vehicles, and Foton is also leading on R&D and marketing of hybrid buses among domestic indigenous commercial vehicle manufacturers. And their new energy products have fairly good reputations and have been purchased by Beijing, Guangdong, Shandong, Zhejiang, Liaoning, Jiangsu and Taiwan, and test running of Foton AUV new energy buses have started in the U.S. and UK.
