Wuzhoulong Motors Sets Twenty Billion Sales Targets in 2013

: With soaring development of new energy industry, Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Motors has developed to be giant auto enterprise with ten billion Yuan investments and four subsidiaries in Chongqing, Shenyang, Tianjin and another battery branch in Guangdong.

Zhang Jingxin, Chairman of Wuzhoulong Motors, expressed his surprises on the slow development of new energy buses and he also hasn’t expect that central government would support new energy industry so strongly.
   


Mr. Zhang was always praised for his two wise and far-sight decisions en years ago, one is to invest new energy vehicles, and another is to move their plant to Shenzhen.
  

At first his decision was not understood by most colleagues, but he chose to stick to his direction. He consulted many experts on new energy vehicle, including Wan Gang, President Assistant of Tongji University. 
  

They started to invest development of new energy buses since 2001, and two sample bus models were rolled off from production line in one year. In 2002, their hybrid city bus and tourist coach got national patent after 200 tests and 20,000 km road tests.
  

Wuzhoulong hybrid buses commercially operation program was listed national 863 plan on November 13, 2005. And seven Wuzhoulong hybrid city buses were put into demonstration running in Shenzhen in the same year.
  

In 2008, Wuzhoulong new energy buses stared to run in Shenzhen in large scale. And currently there are 1,170 Wuzhoulong new energy vehicles running in over 23 bus lines in Shenzhen. And their pure electric buses will also be on the road.
   

In May 2009, Shenzhen was listed in “Ten City Thousand Vehicles” Program, green city bus system was started to be built in Shenzhen. It planed to invest 1.25 billion Yuan on development of new energy buses.
  

As Mr. Zhang predicts, Wuzhoulong annual output of all kinds of new energy vehicles will amount to 30,000 units till 2013, and they will master core technologies on power cell, storage batteries and management system etc.
