Ankai Bus Invests on the Production of Electric Buses

It is generally believed that the pure electric buses will possibly be realized earliest due to the large passenger capacity. In China market, more and more bus builders regard electric buses as the development strategy. It is known that Ankai Bus will invest about 500 million Yuan RMB on the new energy vehicles and related technology development, focusing on the construction of the third plant (construction phase: 3 years; annual production of 6000 new energy buses and 12，000 relevant key components).

Since foundation, Ankai Bus has become the bus builder with the annual production capacity of 10,000 units and its products cover over 130 types of buses (large, medium). In particular, Ankai sightseeing tourist buses have occupied about 70% of market shares in our 5A tourist attractions and the operated Ankai new energy buses exceeded 80% in China market. On 28 December 2010, the 10,000th Ankai bus is one luxury electric tourist coach.


The production capacity of the current new energy bus production base reaches 1000 units. At present, Ankai Bus has developed 15 types of new energy buses, including 14 ones listed in the national recommended models for promotion. Xu Yingchu, the minister of Market Department of Ankai Bus said that, "There are about more than 400 electric buses in operation and about 300 units are produced by Ankai Bus." On the World Expo in Shanghai, 20 Ankai electric coaches were highly approved.


It is understood that Ankai Bus has cooperated with the domestic battery producers, developed the luxury electric coaches with longer driving range and strived for launching the market in short term.
