It is known form Zhongtong Bus that its invent paten application of "large-sized rectangular tube underframe"has been approved by State Intellectual Property Office (patent No. ZL 2009 1 0014786.1).
It is understood that there are three types of the monocoque body of large-sized buses: lattice type based on small rectangular tubes; three-piece type underframe and large-sized rectangular tube underframe.
Monocoque body technology is regarded as "bird cage structure" and applied in the manufacturing of plate in the past. The monocoqe buses are available to fast decompose the stresssurface to the various parts of the body against the displacement of chassis, meanwhile, own the steel facilities of great intensity and resistance to twisting (3-6 times than the conventional ones). According to the test of European buses, such structure can secure the passenger’s safety space when rolling-over or colliding of vehicles.
