Continental AG announced the Financial Statement of the third quarter, showing that both sales amount and profits increased.
Net income was €210.7 million (290.7 million dollars), EPS was €1.06 (1.46 dollars); net income in the same period of 2010 was €14.10 million (19.45 million dollars), EPS was €0.07 (0.1 dollar). EBITDA increased from €786.9 million (1.085 billion dollars) in the third quarter of 2010 to €1.04 billion (1.43 billion dollars), EBITDA margins increased from 12.1% to 13.4%.
EBIT was €635.7 million (877 million dollars), accounting for 8.2% of sales amount, and adjusted EBIT was €743.7 million (1.026 billion dollars). EBIT in the third quarter of 2010 was €365.1 million (504 million dollars), accounting for 5.6% of sales amount, and adjusted EBIT was €484.9 million (669 million dollars). Continental AG forecast that sales amount of 2011 would be at least €29.5 billion (40.7 billion dollars), adjusted EBIT being 10%.
