As the first enterprise to enter national bulletin of electric buses, Ankai has 24 pure-electric and hybrid buses in "Recommended Models Catalogue of Energy-saving and New-energy Vehicles Demonstration Promotion Project" of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People"s Republic of China.
Ankai has made great efforts on R&D of new-energy buses. Deputy General Manger XIONG, Liangping said in Forum of Future Development of China Buses that Ankai had established the new-energy vehicle research institute and professional R&D team for the core technologies of new-energy buses.Great achievements Ankai has made in new-energy buses are highly supported and recognized by relevant authorities. In February 2011, Ankai was named "Key Hi-tech Enterprise of National Torch Program" and in December 2011, Ankai "R&D and Industrialization of Ankai Extended Range Electric Bus" was listed into National Torch Program. Ankai has become the leading enterprise in R&D and innovation of new-energy buses in China.
