On May 25th, first green-energy bus jointly produced by SAIC and some Tangshan manufacturer rolled off production line in Tangshan Caofeidian Green Energy Motor Base. Some expert said the production of green energy bus in Tangshan would promote the industrial restructuring of the city and the development of China new-energy automobile industry.
As Fortune 500 enterprise, SAIC, investing significantly to develop new-energy vehicles, cooperated with local enterprise in Tangshan City which boasted the advantages in location, port, land, industry and policy support to establish SAIC Tangshan Bus Company. The company, covering 280 Mu of the land, is expected to produce 3000 buses per year with CNY 0.33 billion investment of first phase.
The completion of the first green-energy bus marks SAIC Tangshan Bus Company is stepping into production phase from construction phase and the company is preparing for the trial production of 20 units.
