28 Volvo articulated buses for Guatemala City

The public transport company Transmetro based in Guatemala City, capital of Guatemala, commissioned to Volvo Bus Latin America 28 articulated buses for the local BRT system. The new vehicles are part of a fleet renewal project for the southern axis of the city’s transport system. The buses are of the B340M model with 20 meters in length and capacity for 180 passengers. They are powered by a Euro5 diesel engine and feature the state of the art in Volvo chassis technology, such as disk brakes with ABS/EBS systems, electronic traction and suspension control, retarder and automated gearbox. Delivery of the 28 articulated Volvo buses is scheduled in July.
