On June 25th of 2013, Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Golden Dragon) delivered 66 LNG buses to Huangshi City Bus Group (hereinafter referred to as Huangshi Bus) in its Haicang Manufacturing Base. Peng Dongqing, deputy general manager of Golden Dragon, received Lv Jie, deputy general manager of Huangshi Bus, and his colleagues, and had a deep communication in bus markets, company management, products and after-sale service. According to Lv Jie, the first 66 new buses would be in service in July 1st, which would be a meaningful move celebrating the founding of the CPC but also a tribute to the 40th anniversary of the founding of Huangshi Bus.
Build quality brand, create harmonious public transit
Speaking of the 40th anniversary of the founding of Huangshi Bus, Lv Jie, a senior bus staff with 30-year experience of being the driver at the grassroots level and manager since 1980, cannot help happiness appear in his face. It is said by Lv Jie that Huangshi Bus, established in 1973, now owns more than 1700 employees, over 800 vehicles and 22 bus routes. The total length of urban public transit line is 359.6km, and the wire network is 149.7km. Huangshi Bus now owns 4 regular park lots, 461 stations and 34 dispatching rooms. Its annual passenger capacity is over 100 million, annual operation range is 42.66 million kilometers and annual fare income is over 100 million yuan. As for company management, Lv Jie said that as a bus company, the most significant parts were operation and machinery management, which were inseparable. The operation needs the powerful machinery management. Therefore, Huangshi Bus dedicates to provide a reliable, safe, good-service; convenient and economically comfortable transit service in its operation. Huangshi Bus puts much attention to inner management, regulates operation regulations, disciplines and orders, and scientifically dispatches vehicles. Civilized words, smiling service and regulating service behavior are what to be required. Reasonable layout of transit network, good operation plan, valorized tickets and complete range of vehicle equipments are also included. In addition, Huangshi Bus tries its best to reduce transfer-time as much as possible and timely improve its buses. Furthermore, in machinery management, Huangshi Bus has its own idea, which is to be led by technology and to ensure safety by quality. This idea can also be interpreted as rigidly being strict with steady, quick, and good vehicle maintenance, ensuring bus company’s safe operation with qualified maintenance and technology. As for daily machinery maintenance, Lv Jie specially stressed the importance of fuel-efficiency and consumption reduction on account that at present fuel consumption has taken up a third of operation cost of Huangshi Bus, which increased pressure. However, Huangshi, different from Wuhan and Xiangfan of Hubei, is excluded from national new-energy subsidy policy. Hence, Huangshi Bus chose the road of developing clean energy. Since 2007, Huangshi Bus began to purchase clean-energy vehicles. With the new delivered 66 Golden Dragon LNG buses, the total number has become more than 370.
With Golden Dragon, strive to build excellent public transit
Through our communication, we get to know that the present vehicle inventory of Huangshi Bus is 800, in which operation buses are 600. Among these 600 operation buses, there are over 300 Golden Dragon buses, taking up more than a half. Lv Jie said that, “It was 2008 when we purchased the first Golden Dragon buses, by which we found that the good quality. Then, the vehicle cathode electrophoresis line entered Golden Dragon and I went there for a visit as well.” When asked about the quality of Golden Dragon buses, Lv Jie smiled and said, “Golden Dragon buses are quite good, which is just the reason why Huangshi Bus and Golden Dragon can deepen cooperation gradually.”
Quality is the first standard when Huangshi Bus chooses vehicles. As for vehicle purchasing, Huangshi Bus has its own strict formal standard and process. For the vehicle itself, Huangshi Bus values its quality and cost-effect. As for bidding, Huangshi Bus has built bidding group since 2010. When each bidding comes, evaluation personnel are selected from the specialist department on random, which includes workers at grassroots level as well as business personnel from various departments. These delivered buses are purchased by government bidding, abiding by standard and principles of government purchasing.
These vehicles include 32 Golden Dragon XML6115J13CN-5M5G and 34 Golden Dragon XML6105J13CN-5QPG, which both are mature LNG buses of Golden Dragon with outstanding performance in safety, economical efficiency and environmental protection. LNG natural gas engines, on-board bottled technology, parts processing technology of LNG buses, vehicle equipment technology and maintenance technology are highly commended by customers after inspected by the market. Based on tracking statistics of Sales Department of Golden Dragon, we can know that in the actual use of Golden Dragon LNG tourist buses, fuel cost generally reduces nearly 30% compared with diesel. What’s more, as customers of Golden Dragon demand, various kinds of gas cylinders of large volume are equipped with LNG buses, by which the driving range can be 500-800 kilometers, gas filling only takes 3-5 minutes and comprehensive operation benefits stand out. For an instance, Lv Jie told us that the distance of Huangshi LNG gas stations was over 10 kilometers and Golden Dragon LNG buses are with huge storage capacity. Thus, gas filling of Golden Dragon buses for one time can make buses running for 2 days, which reduces greatly vacant range of the vehicle and the cost.
For a city, what’s its biggest fortune? The answer is environment. Huangshi Municipal and Government put forward that to build a city of highest efficiency, lowest charging and best environment in the province even of China, by which Huangshi can become a real land to invest and do the business, and the paradise of happy living. But population of urban Huangshi is dense, and the transport resource is quite limited.
